Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer, AI/ML who will operate as a forward deployed team member, embedding directly with business stakeholders across multiple domains to develop, deploy, and operationalize complex AI/ML and GenAI solutions in production environments. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role at a global life sciences company with an expanding AI innovation portfolio.

You will work across domains including Clinical Development, Research & Discovery, TechOps, AI/ML Labs, Translational Science, and Legacy Solution Migration — bridging real-world business needs and core platform teams to shape product roadmaps and deliver immediate value.

*This role requires roughly 60% in-office presence.


Key Responsibilities:


Forward Deployed Engineering

  • Embed with domain teams to understand workflows and rapidly prototype/deploy tailored solutions
  • Translate business problems into technical requirements and vice versa
  • Champion customer needs within engineering; drive platform roadmap with real-world feedback

AI/ML Development & Deployment

  • Build and deploy AI/ML models supporting clinical, research, commercial, and TechOps functions
  • Architect and automate AI pipelines on AWS (SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, Step Functions, Redshift, Glue, S3)
  • Integrate GenAI, agentic solutions, and LLMs into business workflows

Infrastructure & MLOps

  • Build scalable, secure, compliant AI solutions meeting HIPAA, GDPR, and responsible AI standards
  • Implement CI/CD, IaC, monitoring, logging, drift detection, and governance pipelines
  • Optimize with distributed computing, GPU acceleration, and/or serverless architectures

Data Engineering

  • Integrate data pipelines across clinical, commercial, and research datasets (EHRs, RWE, claims, biopharma sources)
  • Enable seamless data access across cloud storage, data lakes, and AI applications

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years in AI/ML, cloud engineering, data science, MLOps, and/or DevOps (life sciences experience a plus)
  • ⦁ Track record of delivering production systems with measurable business impact
  • ⦁ Experience working directly with business stakeholders to deliver technical solutions

Technical Skills

  • ⦁ Strong programming in Python, R, C/C++, Java, Go, or Rust
  • ⦁ Broad experience with the AWS cloud ecosystem
  • ⦁ AI/ML/GenAI frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, Hugging Face Transformers
  • ⦁ Data platforms: Databricks, Snowflake, or similar; tools like dbt, Spark, Delta/Iceberg
  • ⦁ MLOps: model deployment, versioning, monitoring, and drift detection
  • ⦁ IaC (Terraform, CDK, Pulumi) + CI/CD for cloud infrastructure at scale
  • ⦁ Containerization (Docker, Podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • LLM fine-tuning, RAG systems, AI Agents, and NLP

Domain & Soft Skills

  • Basic understanding of life sciences operations; familiarity with GxP, HIPAA, GDPR a plus
  • Exceptional customer empathy and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: self-driven, proactive, comfortable with ambiguity
  • Adaptable team player who builds trust across organizational boundaries


Compensation: Annual Salary Range: $180,000 - $205,000


The salary offered will be commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
